Mark Rivers

Mark Rivers is CEO of Canyon Ranch. Through his belief that Canyon Ranch is a driving force for the growth of destination wellness, Mark’s vision for the future of Canyon Ranch focuses on innovation, guest experiences and state-of-the-art tools, techniques, and expertise for body, mind, and spirit.

Mark has over 25 years of hospitality operations and property development experience as a master developer and principal of other resorts and clubs. He is the original master developer of the campus that is now home to the Driftwood Golf & Ranch Club in the Austin market. Before that, Mark was a development principal of Solage Hotels and Resorts in Napa Valley, and a former executive of Mirage Resorts, the Steve Wynn-founded, Las Vegas-based company.

Under Mark’s stewardship, Canyon Ranch is building its first-ever, ground up state-of-the-art “ranch” outside of Austin, Texas. The nearly 600-acre campus, which features a resort and residential community with cutting-edge technologies and wellness practices, will open in the fall of 2026. With Mark as CEO, three Canyon Ranch properties were recognized by the internationally acclaimed Michelin Travel Guide, as among the most exceptional in hospitality. Canyon Ranch Tucson and Canyon Ranch Woodside were two of only 16 U.S. properties to receive Three Keys in the 2024 Michelin Guide, while Canyon Ranch Lenox received Two Keys.
